Mr LaHood, I’m a constituent in northern Illinois. I work for one of our amazing public universities and the largest employer in DeKalb County. The president continually talks negatively and disparagingly about Harvard and American universities. How can you stand by and listen to your president’s putative talk about American universities? It’s embarrassing and disgraceful at best and dangerous and shameful at worst. As a proud University of Illinois graduate and employee of NIU I’m outraged by the presidents rhetoric. Why can’t the president promote American Universities? Is he an American? I’m starting to wonder or does he really work for our enemies? I know he’s out for his own interests but does he have to bring the rest of us down with him? Mr LaHood please demand better from the president! He’s going against our interests in your district!
