Vote NO on U.S.-Israel Military Integration
To: Sen. Padilla, Sen. Schiff
From: A verified voter in Novato, CA
July 14
As my Senator, I urge you to strike the U.S.-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative from the FY 2027 National Defense Authorization Act (S. 4784) ahead of upcoming votes.
This provision represents a dangerous shift from a traditional security alliance to a deep, structural integration of our militaries, supply chains, and intelligence networks. I urge you to reject this integration for the following critical reasons:
Evasion of Congressional Oversight: Deeply embedding military cooperation within Pentagon procurement and data-sharing systems bypasses traditional foreign aid channels. This makes it incredibly difficult for Congress to monitor, condition, or pause U.S. support.
Complicity in Violations of International Law: Deepening military "data fusion" and intelligence-sharing risks making the U.S. military structurally complicit in controversial foreign campaigns and potential war crimes.
National Security & Counterintelligence Risks: Granting a foreign state unprecedented access to highly sensitive, emerging U.S. tech—such as AI, cyber systems, and quantum computing—presents major espionage and technology-transfer risks.
Loss of Strategic Sovereignty: Structurally relying on foreign-manufactured defense systems compromises American military independence and strips the U.S. of diplomatic leverage.
Please protect U.S. strategic independence and democratic oversight by working to remove this defense integration initiative from the FY 2027 NDAA.
