To: Rep. Calvert, Sen. Schiff, Sen. Padilla

From: A constituent in Corona, CA

February 20

The Trump administration's decision to fire 1,000 National Park Service employees is deeply concerning and threatens to undermine the maintenance, safety , and enjoyable visitor experience at our national parks. These dedicated workers play vital roles in preserving and strooms, collecting trash, maintaining trails, and ensuring visitor safety through services like search and rescue operating these cherished public lands for all Americans. Without adequate staffing, parks will struggle to keep up with essential tasks like cleaning re he ability to fully experience these natural wonders. Local communities that rely on park tourism for their economic operations. Overworked staff and unmaintained facilities will inevitably lead to diminished access and shorter operating hours, depriving the public of t livelihoods will also suffer. The national parks belong to the American people and exist for our benefit and enjoyment. Stripping away the workforce that makes this possible is unacceptable. I urge you to take action to rescind these damaging staffing cuts and ensure our parks remain fully staffed and ope rational for current and future generations.
