I am writing to plead for you to reject HR 9495 which would allow the President-Elect to declare any non-profit as a terrorist organization. During this time of upheaval and his desire to dismantle the government and targetting of organizations and individuals that oppose this plans or disagree with him, we must stand firm against anything that would enhance his ability to discriminate against those organizations and individuals. I applaud your willingness to reach across the aisle and work on bipartisanship bills, something I think many in both parties should be working together to heal the deep divides our country currently faces. But this bill does not seem like the best use of that bipartisanship.
