Urgent humanitarian aid for Palestinian refugees required

I understand the urgent need to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and provide aid to those suffering from starvation and lack of basic resources. However, the proposed legislation banning funding for UNRWA, the primary provider of essential services to Palestinian refugees, would only exacerbate an already dire situation. Cutting off this vital lifeline puts countless civilians, including children, at risk. As a moral and humanitarian imperative, we must ensure UNRWA can continue its operations unimpeded to alleviate the immense suffering. Denying funding is akin to turning our backs on starving families in desperate need. This aid is not about taking political sides, but about upholding fundamental human rights and dignity. I urge reconsideration of this measure to allow funding to resume immediately. Starvation must not be used as a tactic or tool under any circumstances. The staggering scale of this crisis demands an emergency humanitarian response, not further restrictions. We have a moral obligation to help those whose survival is at stake. Preserving and protecting human life must be the paramount priority.
