Please read. The “grassroots” support for the SAVE America Act is a lie. The campaign pushing this bill is being run by Cleta Mitchell and Scott Presler, two of the most notorious election deniers in the country. Mitchell is the lawyer who was on Trump’s infamous call pressuring Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to “find” 11,780 votes after he lost. She resigned from her law firm the next day. A Fulton County grand jury later recommended she be indicted for her role in the fake electors scheme, charged with soliciting election fraud, witness interference, and making false statements. She then created the Election Integrity Network, funded in part by Trump’s own Save America PAC, and has spent every year since working to gut voting access across the country. And someone connected to that same fake electors network helped write the SAVE Act itself. Presler is the Stop the Steal organizer who led a two-day demonstration at the Pennsylvania State Capitol demanding the 2020 election be overturned, and was on Capitol grounds on January 6th, which he called “the largest civil rights protest in American history.” His PAC, Early Vote Action, received a $1 million donation from Elon Musk, so when he claims he’s never been paid to push election causes, draw your own conclusions. Don’t take our word for it. Even John Thune, the Republican Senate Majority Leader, admitted the pressure is coming from a “paid influencer ecosystem” online, not real senators, not real constituents. We have actually been checking accounts posting about the SAVE America Act most are bots. The House already passed it. Thune’s scheduling a Senate vote. This bill was written by election deniers, pushed by Stop the Steal operatives, and sold to the public through a fake grassroots campaign run by people who tried to overturn the last election. That’s not democracy it’s a con.
