I am outraged that my tax dollars—and the hard-earned money of millions of Americans—are being handed over to Elon Musk’s private empire while essential government programs are being gutted. This is not capitalism. This is theft, plain and simple.
While Musk cuts government services under the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), his companies—SpaceX, Tesla, Starlink, and others—have raked in over $38 billion in federal contracts and aid. Meanwhile, agencies that regulate his businesses, like the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, are being slashed, ensuring that Musk faces less oversight while taking more taxpayer money.
Now, Musk’s Starlink is replacing Verizon in a $2.4 billion contract to overhaul air traffic control communications, despite the lack of competitive bidding or transparency.
At the same time, his budget cuts have devastated public services, including the National Park Service, which is losing staff and struggling to function.
This is not about efficiency. This is about funneling public money into private hands while dismantling the very systems meant to protect us. It’s a government-backed transfer of wealth to one man, and it is an insult to every taxpayer in this country.
I demand that Congress:
1. Launch an immediate investigation into Musk’s conflicts of interest and his companies’ government contracts.
2. Suspend all additional federal payments to his businesses until transparency and accountability are ensured.
3. Restore funding to essential agencies that protect taxpayers from corporate exploitation.
Elon Musk was not elected, yet he is stealing billions in taxpayer dollars while dismantling government oversight. Congress must act before more of our money is funneled into his private empire.
