The Constitution provides a clear path for disqualifying former President Trump from future federal office under the Insurrection Disqualification Clause. As detailed in the article from The Hill, Trump's incendiary rhetoric and actions leading up to and on January 6th crossed a line into insurrection against the constitutional transfer of power. His continued promotion of the "Big Lie" about widespread voter fraud undermines faith in our elections, the bedrock of democracy.
