Demand Full Accountability — Not Cover-Ups — in the Epstein Files

To: Sen. Cruz, Rep. Roy, Sen. Cornyn

From: A constituent in Bandera, TX

February 11

I write not just as a constituent, but as an increasingly disgusted and alarmed American citizen watching one of the most disturbing scandals of modern times unfold — and the United States government’s response fall flat. Despite the release of millions of Epstein-related documents by the Department of Justice, serious questions remain about what is being concealed and why. Redactions obscure names and associations of powerful individuals while still exposing victims, prompting bipartisan condemnation from members of Congress and survivors alike. Meanwhile, democratic governments abroad — from Norway launching external inquiries into government officials’ Epstein ties to European politicians facing resignations and police probes — are holding elites accountable in ways the U.S. has thus far refused to do. Our government has no monopoly on justice, but it does have a duty to pursue truth and accountability vigorously — regardless of wealth, influence, or political ties. Instead, it is now clear that: - The DOJ has mysteriously redacted critical names from documents that could illuminate abuse networks. - DOJ officials have explicitly downplayed prospects for further prosecution even amid fresh disclosures. - Polling shows overwhelming public demand for full, unredacted disclosure and real legal action. This is not merely bureaucratic failure — it feels like protection of the powerful at the expense of victims and accountability. As my elected representative, I demand you: 1. Immediately call for a full, unredacted public release of all Epstein and Maxwell files, without political redactions. 2. Support robust independent investigations — including subpoenas and oversight hearings — into anyone named in these files and any government interference. 3. Ensure survivors’ privacy and safety are protected, not sacrificed in an attempt to conceal powerful abusers. 4. Hold the Department of Justice and Attorney General fully accountable for compliance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act and for any obstruction or censorship. Anything less is a betrayal of your oath and of the people you serve. The people of this country are watching. The world is watching. History will judge us — and it will be unforgiving if accountability is denied to the most vulnerable while the powerful walk free.
