Support Sanders Resolutions to Block Bomb Sales to Israel I need you to support Senator Bernie Sanders' resolutions to block the sale of more than $600 million in bombs to Israel. The vote is expected this week, and your position matters. More than half of Senate Democrats supported similar measures this past summer in response to widespread hunger and suffering in Gaza. Israel's escalating air and ground offensive in southern Lebanon and the broader U.S.-Israeli war on Iran make this vote even more critical now. The majority of Americans and New Yorkers want an end to what the Israeli government is doing. I wish I could have been one of the hundreds who protested outside Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer's and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand's Manhattan office on Monday, where 90 people were arrested for demanding they take action. This included New York City Council Member Alexa Avilés. Constituents are making our position clear: we want you to vote yes on these resolutions and stop sending bombs that fuel this violence. Fund people, not bombs.
