COURT REFORM NOW
I am writing as your constituent to express my deep outrage over the ongoing gutting of the Voting Rights Act. The Supreme Court’s systematic dismantling of federal voting protections is an attack on democracy itself, and I need to know that you are fighting back loudly and publicly.
I am asking you to:
1. Speak out — forcefully and repeatedly — against each rollback of voting rights protections. Silence from Democrats is not acceptable when the foundations of our democracy are being stripped away.
2. Commit now, publicly, to expanding the Supreme Court when Democrats regain power. The Court has been captured by a partisan supermajority that is unaccountable to voters. Court expansion is a legitimate, constitutional remedy that Congress has used before, and it is long overdue.
3. Champion a broader package of judicial reforms, including term limits for justices, a binding ethics code, and mandatory recusal standards.
Voting rights are not a partisan issue — they are the prerequisite for every other issue. When the Court guts the VRA, it determines who gets a voice in our democracy. I expect you to treat this with the urgency it deserves.
Please respond and let me know where you stand.
