I want to say it’s surprising that you would denounce the students, but not the violence of the police or the Israeli supporters that literally attacked the protesters. Not only is that wrong factually and morally, it’s wrong politically. Students are a huge driving force for politicians. Instead of trying to listen to the students, acknowledge their concerns, work with them peacefully, you enable violence against them. Just as you enable the violence against Palestinians. It’s grotesque and it will make it that much harder for you to get reelected. How you can see and hear the violence perpetrated against the students and stay silent is beyond comprehension. Chastising them (based on false police reports) is not the way. Get real. Listen to younger people and stop perpetuating false narratives.
