Recent incidents have made it painfully clear that ICE must be held accountable for their actions. Children have been torn from their families in the dead of night, without warrants or justifiable cause. The agony and distress these children experience should haunt us all. Worse still, their parents are left powerless, their trust in a system designed to protect shattered. In one tragic incident, a man lost his life in ICE custody. His death should serve as a dire warning about the dangers of unchecked power and negligence. Moreover, educators, the stewards of our communities, have been arrested with no prior criminal records, signaling a terrifying breach of justice and human rights.

This must end now. We cannot stand by while a government agency operates without transparency and without regard for the rights of the individuals it is supposed to serve. We demand a thorough investigation into ICE's practices, holding individuals accountable for their actions when necessary. It is crucial that we advocate for a humane, just, and transparent approach to immigration enforcement.  
As mother and disabled woman I feel deeply committed to advocating for marginalized communities and standing firmly on the side of social justice. My heart breaks as I learn about the escalating trauma and fear inflicted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on individuals who deserve dignity and respect. I urge everyone who believes in justice, human rights, and democracy to rally alongside us. We need your voice. Together, we can challenge this systemic injustice and work towards a world where every human being is treated with the dignity and respect they deserve.
