I am writing to demand an end to federal policies and practices that claim to protect public safety, family values, and freedom while actively causing preventable harm.
Across healthcare, public health, immigration, civil rights, and criminal justice, federal leadership has mastered the language of values while abandoning the responsibility those values require. Rhetoric is used to deflect accountability, delay action, and excuse outcomes that would be unacceptable if they affected people in power.
When vaccines are weakened against scientific consensus, people die. When individuals die in federal custody, blame is shifted instead of accountability enforced. When sexual violence is minimized, survivors are told it doesn’t matter. When healthcare is treated as optional, families pay the price. These are not abstract debates — they are direct results of federal decisions.
The public is not confused. We see leaders say one thing and do another. We see harm reframed as controversy, negligence framed as inevitability, and responsibility endlessly deferred.
I am demanding that you:
• Protect evidence-based public health policy without political interference
• Enforce real accountability for federal agencies and officials
• End policies that dehumanize, criminalize, or endanger marginalized communities
• Align your actions with the values you publicly invoke
Leadership is not messaging. It is responsibility. Stop protecting power at the expense of human lives.
