An Open Letter

To: Rep. Kennedy, Sen. Lee, Sen. Curtis

From: A constituent in Holladay, UT

July 19

The EPA is being forced to cut 23% of its staff and is closing its research arm. Half the country is literally on fire right now, and the other half is drowning in flash floods. Climate change is real, and these reckless decisions will cause generational damage to our planet and our society. This is the time to INCREASE spending on the EPA, not eliminate. The President is old and may not be around to reap the longterm consequences of these decisions, but you and your children probably will be. Please protect our future and restore the EPA to full funding for research, staffing, and enforcement.
