The Constitution represents the supreme law to which all government officials must adhere. Any attempt to undermine or violate constitutional principles constitutes an egregious offense against the entire nation. Those entrusted with power who abuse that authority by acting in contravention of constitutional boundaries are committing a grievous betrayal of the public trust. It falls to the people to zealously guard against such transgressions by those in power, and respond with resolute determination befitting the magnitude of this threat to our founding democratic principles and system of laws. The very survival of our republican form of government depends on remaining eternally vigilant against any who would seek to violate the Constitution and usurp its provisions through unchecked accumulation of power.
