I recently read about SCOTUS ruling to end the TPS for the Haitian community in Springfield OH. The House has passed a bill HB 1689 which extends TPS to be beyond the end of the current administration. This community was invited to this area and has helped turn this community around. Filling jobs for industries there which were unfilled due to declining population. They have broken no laws, paid taxes, raised families, supported civic and religious organizations. These are the types of immigrants we need in this country. Haiti is in a state of Civil War and these families should qualify for asylum. I urge the Senate to pass this bill.
There is reporting that the President is refusing to sign bills that are coming to his desk without the SAVE America Act coming first. DO NOT COMPLY with this extortion threat keep the elections in the STATES CONTROL protect our franchise to vote and our voter roles from this administration. . But on the bills that Congress passes increase support to over 2/3rds as Congress did with the Epstein transparency act. Congress has to come together to show this lame duck administration who is in the drivers seat when it comes to legislation and appropriations . It all rests on the CONGRESS. The mightiest branch of government. Because we voted you into your positions.
Pass HB 1689 protect Haitians in Springfield with a 2/3 majority.
