Stop wasting time with the "Gulf of America" BS

To: Sen. Hoeven, Rep. Fedorchak, Sen. Cramer

From: A constituent in Horace, ND

May 9

Voting to rename the Gulf of Mexico as the "Gulf of America" represents a wasteful use of taxpayer resources and legislative time. This proposal serves no practical purpose and disregards the internationally recognized geographic name. Rather than pursuing misguided efforts to satisfy personal whims, Congress should concentrate its efforts on substantive policies that benefit the American people, such as economic recovery, healthcare affordability, and climate change mitigation. Renaming this body of water is an unnecessary distraction from the pressing issues facing the nation. I urge you to reject this superfluous measure and instead prioritize legislation that improves the lives of your constituents.
