You must NOT cut Head Start. Research over decades has demonstrated benefits related to school success. As a retired social worker whose infant mental health and school success programs achieved outstanding results in terms of school success, improved social skills, and academic readiness for children identified in the early grades as “failing,” I beg you on behalf of America’s future to not only keep but expand Head Start! It saves lives.
