An Open Letter

To: Sen. Mullin, Rep. Hern, Sen. Lankford

From: A constituent in Tulsa, OK

February 25

The president's proposal to sell $5 million 'gold cards' granting citizenship is deeply concerning and perpetuates an inequitable system favoring the wealthy. Citizenship should not be commodified and auctioned off to the highest bidder. This plan undermines American values of equality and fairness. Expedited pathways to citizenship should prioritize merit, skills, and contributions to society - not just wealth. I urge you to reject this exploitative proposal that would create an unacceptable two-tier system benefiting only the ultra-rich. Instead, I request you support comprehensive immigration reform that provides an accessible and affordable path to legal status for hardworking immigrants already in the country.
