Support NY for All Act - Protect Immigrant Communities

To: Gov. Hochul, Sen. Griffo, Assembly Member Miller

From: A constituent in Canastota, NY

May 28

The NY for All Act (S.2235/A.3506) is crucial legislation that will protect immigrant communities across New York State. By prohibiting state and local agencies from collaborating with ICE or diverting resources for federal immigration enforcement, it cultivates trust and ensures all New Yorkers can access essential services without fear. Between 2016-2018, ICE arrests in NYC increased 53%, intensifying fear and separating families. This bill safeguards our values of inclusion by allowing immigrants to live openly, provide for their loved ones, and seek healthcare without intimidation from a cruel, politicized agenda. Passing the NY for All Act preserves state resources for our communities and moves New York closer to being a welcoming place for all, regardless of status. I urge your support for this critical measure that upholds our principles as a state.
