I’m writing to ask the Senator to VOTE NO on Todd Blanche’s nomination to be Attorney General. Why? To begin with, Blanche has weaponized the DOJ against Trump’s enemies. Within weeks of taking over, he launched criminal inquiries targeting January 6th witness Cassidy Hutchinson, opened an investigation into ActBlue, secured an indictment of the SPLC, and obtained a second indictment of James Comey. Blanche has weaponized the DOJ into an instrument of political retribution, with investigations designed to punish dissent and silence opposition. There’s more: Blanche is Trump’s Epstein fixer. He personally interviewed convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell under limited immunity, facilitated her transfer to a minimum-security prison and declared the matter should "not be part of anything going forward." Even former AG Pam Bondi confirmed it: in her May 29 deposition, she told Congress that Blanche was in charge of the DOJ's Epstein file release. Over 2.5 million documents remain unreleased, 47,000 previously published files were pulled down, the DOJ missed its legally mandated December 2025 release deadline, and the DOJ Inspector General has launched a formal compliance audit. And more: Blanche was the architect of Trump’s 1.8B slush fund. He settled Trump's lawsuit against the IRS for nearly a $1.8 billion dollar slush fund, with Trump's handpicked commissioners in full control of payouts. The settlement also aims to bar the IRS from investigating Trump, his family, or his businesses. A federal court and bipartisan backlash blocked the fund, but Blanche's DOJ has made clear the IRS order stands. THE SENATE MUST ACT. Every senator took an oath to defend the Constitution. A vote against confirming Todd Blanche is how they honor it. Does the Justice Department serve the American people, or does it serve Donald Trump? Vote no. Thank you.
