Loss of NEA funding to Flushing Town Hall

To: Assembly Member Kim, Sen. Liu, Gov. Hochul

From: A verified voter in Flushing, NY

May 8

I am writing to express my deep anger and concern regarding the recent loss of National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) funding for Flushing Town Hall, a cherished cultural institution in our community. As you may know, Flushing Town Hall is a historic and vital site that has served as a cornerstone for the arts in Flushing, offering a diverse array of cultural programs, performances, and educational opportunities to residents of all ages. This loss of funding, via this Trump administration, threatens the sustainability of Flushing Town Hall and the continued availability of its enriching programming. Our community deserves access to the arts, and we cannot afford to lose such a significant resource. I respectfully urge you to take every possible step to help restore NEA funding for Flushing Town Hall or to identify an alternative source of financial support. Your leadership and advocacy could make a crucial difference in preserving this important cultural institution. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to your response.
