No Data Centers In Michigan

To: Rep. Mueller, Gov. Whitmer, Sen. Theis

From: A verified voter in Linden, MI

May 25

I am writing to oppose the growing increase in data centers in Michigan. The majority of Michigan citizens do not want these large, noisy, environmentally destructive, energy sucking centers in our state. When we complain, it is clear that the AI companies are paying local officials off. There must be a state regulation policy put in place requiring data centers to obtain citizen approval AND full regulatory environmental approval and oversight. Otherwise, no more data centers in our state. The billionaires can’t buy our air, our water, our energy (you already gave DTE and Consumer Energy massive rate increases for the second time in less than a decade), or our beautiful and unique Great Lakes. We are opposed to these data centers. And we will vote each and every one of you out of office until you start representing us. Local city councils are already being recalled (Saline and others). Don’t think we won’t remove you from office as well. You work for us not for Oracle or Google or any other billionaire. NO DATA CENTERS without full citizen votes and full oversight. And large taxes on their profits. Thank you.
