I just read that the Trump administration is shuttering two of the three US Department of Agriculture research projects studying cyclospora (https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/cyclosporiasis-outbreak--us-). Why? This parasite has sickened tens of thousands of Americans! We should be funding the projects studying it—not cancelling them. I am frustrated beyond belief that foodborne illnesses are skyrocketing (https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/medical/foodborne-illnesses-are-skyrocketing-6-to-know-about/ar-AA29CbKS) and this administration continues to take no actions to address it. RFK Jr. needs to resign and food safety inspections need to be re-funded. I’m tired of being scared to eat.
Also, I understand that the Trump administration has proposed giving a parcel of land in Yosemite National park to a private developer (https://www.nytimes.com/live/2026/08/28/us/trump-news#section-853744849). That is outrageous. Yosemite—and all of our national parks—should be off limits to development. Congress needs to act to stop this, now. Thanks.
