Taxation without representation

To: Gov. Newsom, Asm. Connolly, Sen. McGuire

From: A constituent in Petaluma, CA

February 21

Serious question… can I legally be absolved from paying taxes to a federal government that has given up on representative democracy? We have a president who is stealing our tax dollars, a congress who is not checking him, and now 50% of the population is being disenfranchised. This is taxation without representation. Why does DJT get to pay himself 10B dollars and get away with it and I am forced to pay the taxes to make it possible. As a state, can we stand up and stop paying for all this corruption and unconstitutional activity? As an individual, can I?
