I stand with California Senator Alex Padilla. His arrest and detainment by federal officers in his own state for speaking in a public hearing is inexcusable. If this is what you will do to a Senator. A Senator. What will you do to the rest of us. This is absolutely unprecedented. At no point in US history has a Senator or Congressperson been arrested and detained for speech. What a disgusting show from your officials. Everyone involved should be immediately put on administrative leave or fired.
