The funds required could be better directed towards supporting active-duty personnel, veterans, and military families. I urge you to reconsider this plan for a grandiose parade and instead focus the Army's 250th anniversary celebrations on honoring the sacrifices of service members throughout history. Respectful ceremonies highlighting the Army's noble mission would be more fitting than a showy parade centered on the President. Our military deserves to be celebrated for its service to the nation, not conflated with partisan political motives.
