Stop Trump’s plan to use the Army as an ego boost party favor.

Hosting a military parade to commemorate the President's birthday would be an inappropriate use of resources and a misguided celebration. The anniversary of the U.S. Army's establishment is a significant milestone that deserves recognition, but combining it with the President's personal celebration distorts the solemn occasion and suggests misplaced priorities. A large-scale military parade would also impose substantial costs on the city of Washington D.C., potentially causing damage to infrastructure and disrupting residents and businesses. The funds required could be better directed towards supporting active-duty personnel, veterans, and military families. I urge you to reconsider this plan for a grandiose parade and instead focus the Army's 250th anniversary celebrations on honoring the sacrifices of service members throughout history. Respectful ceremonies highlighting the Army's noble mission would be more fitting than a showy parade centered on the President. Our military deserves to be celebrated for its service to the nation, not conflated with partisan political motives.
