The weeks of organizing that went into rounding up Venezuelans included the knowledge that they were here legally and had committed no crimes. It is not a crime to be an immigrant with a tattoo that has nothing to do with gang affiliation. I find it hard to believe that you are proud of what happened. Will you avoid your constituents so you don’t have to respond to this? Hiding from Town Halls just makes you look weak. The US has become a fascist country and the action in El Salvador proves it, not to mention the lawlessness of the Trump cabinet and Trump himself. If you support these lawless actions, say it loud and clear so we can see who you are. But if you support democracy, then now is the time to make that known and not be silent. Silence is complicity.
