I am writing to demand the immediate resignation of FBI Director Kash Patel. If he refuses to resign, I urge you to move forward with impeachment proceedings. His conduct in office has compromised the integrity of the FBI and threatens our national security. Patel has repeatedly misused taxpayer resources for personal benefit. He has been accused of frequently using the FBI's private jet for personal flights. In December, his visit to South Florida delayed the FBI's elite evidence response team from responding to a mass shooting at Brown University. He was also reportedly seen partying with the U.S. men's hockey team at the Olympics while claiming to be on official business, where he was drinking and laughing at inappropriate jokes. Beyond fiscal irresponsibility, Patel has weaponized the FBI against political opponents. Even before his appointment, he made clear his intention to use FBI power to attack anyone disloyal to the administration. He has reportedly scoured FBI records to discredit Democratic representatives and brought charges against or fired federal employees who were involved in investigations of Trump's criminal activity. This partisan abuse of law enforcement authority undermines the rule of law and erodes public trust in our institutions. Patel has also mishandled critical investigations. The murders of Renee Good and Alex Pretti by ICE in Minneapolis, the shooting of Charlie Kirk, and the Epstein case files have all been inadequately addressed under his leadership. Despite bipartisan pressure and House Judiciary Committee oversight hearings, Patel has sidelined the Epstein investigation, raising serious questions about potential cover-ups. The FBI must operate independently and professionally, not as a tool for political revenge. Patel's incompetence, negligence, and partisan motivations make him unfit to lead this critical agency. I urge you to take immediate action to demand his resignation or begin impeachment proceedings to protect the integrity of federal law enforcement and the safety of all Americans.
