Deny Trump’s Police State Tactics for Deportations

To: Rep. Rizo, Gov. DeSantis, Sen. Ávila

From: A constituent in Hialeah, FL

May 22, 2025

I’m writing to urge Governor Ron DeSantis take a stand against the Trump administration’s executive order that seeks to control state law enforcement, deploy the military against Americans, and enable local police to act illegally by shielding them from prosecution. The safety of every American depends on our state leaders pushing back against these authoritarian policies and maintaining the constitutional rule of law. Thank you for your time and consideration.
