"I am calling for the 'National Medical Patient Protection Act' to end the crisis of patients being raped while under sedation. In Miami, a survivor with a positive forensic kit was abandoned by police. This negligence is a violation of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) and basic civil rights.
We demand federal legislation that includes:
1 Zero Tolerance for Obstruction: Federal law must mandate that local police cannot close cases with positive forensic evidence without a federal audit.
2 Extreme Consequences for Retaliation: Any hospital staff, doctor, or law enforcement officer who retaliates against a survivor—through intimidation, job loss, or ending investigations—must face federal criminal charges and immediate loss of federal funding/licensing.
3 Anti-VAWA Circumvention Penalties: Any agency found 'sidelining' VAWA protocols to protect their own image or staff must face 'Extreme Measures,' including triple-damage civil penalties and a permanent ban on receiving federal grants.
4 Mandatory National Reporting: Hospitals must report all sexual assault allegations directly to the DOJ to prevent local cover-ups.
We will no longer tolerate the weaponization of the legal system against victims. It is time for extreme measures to protect women."
