Trump recently said that Republicans should “take over the voting” from states, while again raising his claims of voter fraud. “The Republicans should say, ‘We want to take over. We should take over the voting in at least many, 15 places.’ The Republicans ought to nationalize the voting,” Trump said during an appearance on former Deputy FBI Co-Director Dan Bongino’s podcast. This is dangerous rhetoric that attempts to dismantle the free democracy that America is built on. In the United States, we have the right to vote in free and fair elections. ANY interference or intimidation MUST be stopped, including from the highest office in the nation. Trump's claims of "voter fraud" attempt to skew election results in his favor. As if that weren't enough, he seemingly plans to take control of elections in such a way that would certainly guarantee his victory. This is unacceptable and un-American! If the American government proceeds to rig its own elections, it will be catastrophic for democracy as we know it. I strongly urge you to condemn false claims of voter fraud. I also urge you to act to support and protect fair elections that are free of ANY interference. You owe it to the people to uphold the Constitution.
