Release House Ethics report on Matt Gaetz AG nomination
To: Rep. Morelle
From: A constituent in Pittsford, NY
November 16
The American people deserve transparency and accountability from their public officials. It is concerning that the House Ethics Committee report on serious allegations against Matt Gaetz may be concealed from public scrutiny. As Gaetz is now nominated for the powerful position of Attorney General, it is imperative that Senators thoroughly vet his background and any potential ethical violations or misconduct from the House Ethics Committee's investigation. Withholding the Ethics Committee's findings would undermine the Senate's constitutional duty of advice and consent on presidential nominations. I urge you to call for the immediate release of this House Ethics Committee report so that Gaetz can be properly evaluated before potentially leading the Department of Justice. The integrity of our justice system depends on full vetting of this critical nominee.
