As your constituent, I urge you to oppose four bills currently before the Senate Commerce Committee: S. 1748, the Kids Online Safety Act; S. 737, the SCREEN Act; S. 4407, the CHATBOT Act; and S. 4199, the Youth AI Privacy Act.
While these bills take different approaches, they all move in the same direction: encouraging more data collection, more surveillance, and greater restrictions on lawful online speech.
Americans deserve stronger privacy protections online for both kids and adults. But these bills rely on broad mandates that will encourage companies to collect even more personal information, and reduce privacy and free expression for everyone.
Please oppose S. 1748, S. 737, S. 4407, and S. 4199.
Thank you for your consideration.
