Oppose GOP Budget, Concern about Medicare cuts Impact to so many
To: Rep. Tokuda
From: A constituent in Kula, HI
May 21
I'm deeply troubled by the Republican budget bill's threat of triggering over $500 billion in automatic Medicare cuts that would devastate millions of hardworking families and seniors, like myself, who rely on this vital program for affordable healthcare. The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office confirms the alarming deficit escalation necessitating these draconian reductions under federal law. This unacceptable approach exacerbates challenges for the middle class by prioritizing tax breaks for the wealthy over the interests of constituents. Continuing to resolutely oppose and vote against this misguided legislation sacrificing healthcare access for Americans is imperative to protect our well-being and financial security.
