I need you to oppose any use of taxpayer funds to place Trump's name, image, or likeness on federal property, currency, documents, or government items. This includes the commemorative passports, the $1 coins, his signature on paper currency, the national park passes, and the banners on federal buildings like the Department of Justice.
The United States has a longstanding tradition of reserving such honors for deceased leaders. There are laws prohibiting images of living presidents on coins until they've been dead two years, yet the Treasury Department is creating special $1 coins with Trump's image anyway. His approval rating is stuck in the 30s, yet his face is replacing images of national parks on annual passes and appearing on passports opposite the Founding Fathers.
This is not normal. Federal buildings draped with banners of a sitting president look like propaganda from authoritarian regimes, not a democracy. The renaming of the US Institute of Peace and the Kennedy Center happened without proper legislative authorization. My tax dollars should not fund a personality cult. Support legislation to ban Trump's name from federal buildings, coins, and government property.
