The reported plans for an extravagant military parade on President Trump's birthday are deeply concerning. Such an event would require huge expenditures at a time when fiscal responsibility is paramount. Opulent displays of military might are more characteristic of authoritarian regimes than a democratic society. This proposed parade seems aimed at inflating the president's ego rather than serving any legitimate public interest. I urge you to block any effort to waste millions of taxpayer dollars on this unnecessary and undemocratic spectacle. Those funds could be far better utilized to address pressing domestic needs or bolster critical government services impacted by recent job cuts. A austere commemoration of the Army's anniversary would be more fitting. Lavish parades belong in the past, not the future of this nation.
