Make Family Security a National Priority
To: V.P. Vance

I am asking you to use your position in the administration and as President of the Senate to champion a serious national family-security agenda.
No family should be financially destroyed by childbirth, illness, disability, childcare, housing costs, elder care, or the temporary loss of employment. Please advocate for paid family and medical leave, affordable childcare, maternal and infant health care, a permanent child tax credit, stronger rural health services, affordable housing construction, and protections for people caring for children, aging parents, or disabled relatives.
These policies should be designed to support every kind of family without forcing one religious, cultural, or economic model on everyone. Supporting families must include respecting medical privacy and allowing individuals, families, and their doctors—not politicians—to make deeply personal medical decisions.
Please use your influence with the president and Senate leadership to develop a bipartisan package, hold public listening sessions, and bring specific proposals before Congress.
