Thank you for your vote of “No” on H.Res. 719. As a constituent from Shorewood, IL, I appreciate your thoughtful judgment. While I unequivocally condemn political violence, I was concerned that this resolution’s framing risked elevating a divisive figure rather than focusing on a clear, unifying denunciation of violence. Your vote reflects care for all of your constituents, including LGBTQ+ community members like me, and a commitment to inclusive, responsible governance. I’m grateful for your leadership and for standing up for values that keep our community safe and respected.
