Vote no on President Trump's 2027 budget request. This proposal does not put Americans first.
The budget asks for $1.5 trillion in military spending while slashing programs that working families depend on. It cuts HUD funding by 13%, reducing access to affordable housing. It cuts HHS by 12%, including heating assistance for low-income families. It eliminates $15 billion for renewable energy projects from the bipartisan infrastructure bill. Meanwhile, the Pentagon has failed its audit eight years running.
Trump himself told supporters that funding day care, Medicaid, and Medicare is "not possible" because we're "fighting wars." That's the wrong priority. Americans need cheaper health care and groceries, not a 44% increase in Pentagon spending when we're already running a $2 trillion deficit with $39 trillion in national debt.
This budget characterizes programs helping low-income Americans as "woke" 34 times throughout the document. That's not fiscal responsibility. That's abandoning people who need help while pouring money into a department that can't account for what it already spends. Reject this budget and demand one that serves the American people.
