The Trump administration is treating our public lands like a clearance sale. Oppose the Forest Service reorganization, repeal the H.R. 1 provisions accelerating land transfers to oil and gas companies, and oppose rolling back the regulations that protect our lands and wildlife from mining, drilling, and logging.
The damage is already stacking up. Rescinding the Roadless Area Conservation Rule opens 59 million acres of national forest to logging. H.R. 1 puts over 1.3 million acres of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge up for auction. Iconic places like Minnesota's Boundary Waters, New Mexico's Greater Chaco region, and Nevada's Ruby Mountains are now being targeted for extraction. Moving the Forest Service headquarters to Utah and shuttering research facilities in 31 states will gut the agency's capacity to manage 154 national forests. Over 175 million acres are now at risk.
These lands belong to the public, not to fossil fuel companies or private developers. Stand against this wholesale giveaway and fight to keep these places protected for everyone.
