Why Are You Choosing Loyalty to Trump Over the People You Swore to Represent?

To: Sen. Hawley, Sen. Schmitt

From: A verified voter in Kansas City, MO

March 26

I am writing to ask a direct and serious question: why does it seem like you care more about Donald Trump than the people you were elected to represent? You were voted into office to serve your constituents. That means listening to our concerns, advocating for our needs, and standing up for our interests, even when it is difficult or politically inconvenient. Instead, your actions and public positions suggest a pattern of prioritizing one individual and his beliefs over the diverse voices and real issues facing the people in your district. This is not what representation is supposed to look like. Public office is not about loyalty to a single person. It is about accountability to the people who trusted you with their vote. When I reach out or follow your positions, I do not see independent leadership. I see alignment that raises serious concerns about whose interests are actually guiding your decisions. That is deeply disappointing and frankly unacceptable. I want to know what you are doing to put your constituents first. Not in talking points or generic responses, but in real, measurable action. We deserve transparency, honesty, and leadership that reflects the needs of the community, not the agenda of one man. Please explain how your current actions serve the people you represent.
