Your Vote for H.Con.Res. 14 and Your Failure to Represent Us
To: Rep. Loudermilk
From: A constituent in Woodstock, GA
February 28
I am writing to express my absolute dissent regarding your vote in favor of H.Con.Res. 14. Your decision does not reflect the interests of the people in Woodstock or the small communities you claim to serve. This budget resolution is a direct attack on the programs that working-class and middle-class Georgians rely on, while handing out tax breaks to the wealthy and large corporations.
Let me be clear: you are not representing us. Your constituents are struggling with the cost of living, healthcare access, and economic stability. Yet you voted to slash Medicaid by nearly a trillion dollars, gut food assistance programs, and put even more financial strain on working families—while extending tax cuts for the wealthy. The hypocrisy is astounding.
Furthermore, I have to ask: What do they have on you? What kind of leverage is forcing you to ignore your constitutional obligations and betray the very people who put you in office? Your vote was not about fiscal responsibility—it was about playing politics with people’s livelihoods. Where is your spine?
Adding to this insult, you had the audacity to support a merit bill for federal employees while actively undermining those very same workers. My tax dollars pay your salary—one that exceeds what most federal civil servants earn—yet you are failing to do your job. The executive branch holds all the power while Congress sits by, useless. You were elected to be a check and balance, not a rubber stamp.
If you are serious about serving your constituents, start by protecting federal workers in Georgia, defending our economy, and standing up for the programs we contribute to and depend on. We demand action now.
Since you failed to host a town hall, I am making it easy for you: I am coordinating with 75 people who want to speak to you directly. We will be scheduling office visits until you actually listen to your constituents. If you refuse to meet with us, we will remember this at the ballot box.
It is time for you to show us who you serve: the people who elected you, or the donors and party bosses pulling your strings.
We expect a response.
