Representative Van Duyne, I am writing to ask you to vote in support of subpoenaing the Epstein birthday book from the estate of Jeffrey Epstein to reveal what is truth and what is political misdirection. It is time to put our cards on the table: do you support women and work to protect women from sexual predation or do you seek to make yourself politically safe from bullying and threats of being “primaried” by going along with the men leading your party in the House? This is the job you ran for: to make the right decisions for the country, not certain men; to protect all lives because they matter, not just the lives of the wealthy. No matter who is in this sordid web surrounding Jeffrey Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell, a full and unbiased exploration of the Epstein situation should be conducted in the light of day, without redaction or distraction, and those responsible for harming women brought to full justice — at all costs. Additionally, Ghislaine Maxwell should be brought before Congress for questioning by everyone, to determine what, and whom, she knows instead of her “testimony” being manipulated by the DOJ. But this all starts with you. Do you have the courage to do what is right and start us down a path toward justice for these victims or will you form ranks with others in the GOP who are clearly acting to shield people from possible embarrassment or prosecution? The eyes of Texas are upon you. And we are fighting for the victims and for justice. If you cannot do the job, we will find someone who will.
