Pass Campaign Finance Reform to End Corporate Money in Politics

To: Rep. Chu, Sen. Schiff, Sen. Padilla

From: A verified voter in Pasadena, CA

June 18

Pass meaningful campaign finance reform now. Corporate money has corrupted our political system, and every cycle it gets worse. Lawmakers who depend on corporate donors to win elections cannot credibly claim to represent the people who voted for them. The math is simple: when corporations spend millions to put someone in office, they expect a return on that investment. That return comes at the expense of working people, small businesses, and anyone without a lobbyist. I want you to co-sponsor and actively push for legislation that limits corporate political spending, closes super PAC loopholes, and expands public financing of elections. Our democracy should be decided by voters, not by the size of a company's checkbook.
