Your refusal to check President Trump is no longer a political choice—it is a constitutional failure.
On Venezuela, Congress has allowed the President to act with near-total impunity: sanctions, foreign recognition, and the constant threat of escalation, all without serious debate or accountability. This is exactly the kind of unchecked executive behavior the Constitution was written to prevent.
Oversight is not optional. It is your job. When Congress stays silent, it doesn’t preserve stability—it signals permission. Permission for abuse of power, permission for recklessness, and permission to bypass the rule of law.
History will not remember who stayed loyal to a president. It will remember who upheld their oath and who lacked the courage to do so. Right now, Congress is failing that test.
Stop enabling. Assert your authority. Or be honest with the public and admit that Congress has surrendered its role entirely.
