I'm writing again to ask that you vote no on this Big Ugly Bill, H.R. 1. It's my hope that if you have the courage to stop it now, it will give your party much-needed time to reevaluate your priorities. Your focus should be on the common good for your constituents, not on satisfying the greed and selfishness of mega-donors or the cruel whims of the bigots pushing mass deportation. I hope you will find it in yourself to stop this bill for now and take the time to hear from your constituents over the 4th of July about the many things people are finding in H.R. 1 that are misguided, wrong, and just plain immoral. I would happy to explain them to you in further detail if you have the humility and courage it takes to listen. It's more important than you may realize to get this bill done right rather than to get it done fast. Please, keep that in mind as you vote.
