I am writing to express my strong opposition to the current Budget Reconciliation bill. This bill is not only deeply unjust—it is diabolical in its priorities and values.
Cutting Medicaid and SNAP benefits, which millions of Americans rely on for basic health care and food security, in order to fund tax cuts for the wealthy and pay for Donald Trump’s widely unpopular mass deportation agenda is morally reprehensible.
You were elected to serve the people—not the ultra-wealthy, not political donors, and not extremist factions. These cruel budget choices do not reflect the will or the wellbeing of your constituents.
I urge you in the strongest possible terms:
Do not pass this bill.
Protect our safety net.
Reject tax cuts for the rich that come at the expense of struggling families.
Stop funding policies of hate and division.
Listen to the American people. We are watching, and we will remember who stood with us—and who sold us out.
