I'm writing to ask that you strongly oppose the Trump administration's dismantling of the Department of Education and its blatant disregard of congressional authority. Congress must stand firm against this unconstitutional overreach and protect the Department's vital programs and protections for students. As a teacher and parent this is devastating. Classrooms are already overcrowded, special education students get overlooked, and teachers leave the job in alarming rates. There needs to be a change and that is to fully reinstate the Department of Education and fully fund schools. Thank you for your time and consideration.
